Be Allex (Ampère x Dalwhinnie) and Jeanna Högberg have won the small final for seven-year-old horses at the de Longines FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. 79.40% put the Swedish rider firmly in the lead. Majestic Taonga (Glock’s Toto Jr. x Jazz) and Lisa Wernitznig (75.95%) bested Blue FRH (Buckingham x Locksley II) and Tessa Frank (75,76%) for the second prize.
The SWB-bred Be Allex, bred by Eva and Bo Pettersson and co-owned by Hennix Horses Ab, Jeanna Högberg Dressage Ab and Västra Hoby Stuteri Ab, gave a more convincing performance today than during the qualification. The gelding scored a 9.0 for his canter and an 8.5 for his perspective, bringing the total to nearly 4.5% higher than the day before. “He was doing well on the first day too, but he was quite tense. In all honesty, me too”, tells Jeanna Högberg. “The expectations are so high, and he is a sensitive horse, he feels the excitement, so I must remain calm. Today, everything felt great and very promising for the future. Tomorrow, we will give it our all.” Be Allex and Jeanna are ready for the final on Sunday.
