  • Olympic titleholder TSF Dalera BB dominated the Paris Olympics’ Grand Prix, what better way to pay tribute to her breeder Silke Druckenmüller?

Tuesday, July 30th, TSF Dalera BB and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl competed for the first time in these 2024 Paris Olympic Games, on the beautiful grounds of the Château de Versailles, defending their previous Olympic Champions title.

The pair was the last to go during this Dressage Grand Prix, and they achieved the highest score of the competition so far with 82,065%, directly qualifying them for the Team Final – Grand Prix Special that will take place on the 3rd of August and also for the Individual Final – Grand Prix Free Style on the 4th of August.

Together, TSF Dalera BB and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl have every chance of being crowned "Queens of Versailles" this weekend in Paris. The splendid dark bay Trakehner by Easy Game x Handryk is unstoppable, winning one title after another every year, including the Longines WBFSH Breeder Award which she has offered late Silke Druckenmüller, her breeder, 3 years in a row. A few months ago, we had the chance to sit with Silke’s husband, Thorsten Druckenmüller, before the Breeder Awards Ceremony held in Amsterdam. We reflected on Silke’s life, discussing the experience of living with such a successful breeder, attending the various competitions Dalera participated in, and celebrating her many achievements and Silke’s breeding legacy, which Thorsten concluded with “And so, although it is an end, it is also a beginning”.

No better words could have been spoken: Silke and Dalera’s legacy will go on, with a potential new Olympic performance no later than this weekend during the Dressage Finals, for which we wish Jessica and Dalera the best of luck!
