The annual meetings have kicked off today, with warm Florida weather welcoming delegates coming from colder climates.
The official opening was during a welcome reception sponsored by Equitron, at the the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Airport. 75 delegates from 19 countries are participating in the coming days.
Tomorrow, on Saturday 14th October the seminars and workshop kick off. We can look forward to the following seminars:
- Genomics for gait and movement in the sport horse (Dr Samantha Brooks)
- American Racing perspective on Horse Welfare in the USA (Helmuth von Blücher)
In the afternoon the delegates will be treated to a tour to Ocala to the spectacular World Equestrian Center, followed by a traditional Souther BBQ at the Golden Ocala Estate.
Sunday 15th October will be filled with more, interesting seminars, as well as the General Assembly itself, and then the traditional GA Gala Dinner at the hotel.
On Monday 16th October, delegates can participate in an optional trip to the Kennedy Space Center.
