The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with internationally renowned sculptor Brigitte Boss. This collaboration marks a significant step in celebrating the achievements of the world’s top sport horse breeders.
As part of this partnership, Brigitte Boss has designed a unique WBFSH horse head sculpture, which will be presented to the winning breeders of the WBFSH Breeder Awards, as well as the breeders of the champions at the annual Young Horses Championships. This exclusive artwork will serve as a symbol of excellence and dedication within the sport horse breeding community.
The first-ever WBFSH breeder statue was awarded at the prestigious Breeder Awards 2024 ceremony, held during the Jumping International Bordeaux on February 8th, 2025. This historic moment marked the beginning of a new tradition, honoring breeders with an exquisite artistic representation of their achievements.
Brigitte Boss, a self-taught sculptor based at TAK Art Space in Speuld, The Netherlands, has gained international recognition for her ability to capture the emotional complexity and dynamism of horses and dogs through her work. Her sculptures, characterized by textured surfaces and intricate layering, bring each subject to life with a profound sense of movement and expression. Cast in bronze as limited editions, her creations are displayed worldwide, from the Netherlands – with the legendary Totilas sculpture at KWPN headquarters – and Denmark – with the bronze life-size mare and foal horse sculpture ‘Une belle Histoire’ in front of the National Equestrian Center Vilhelmsborg –, to the USA, Australia, and beyond.
