Quite similarly to the Jumping Championships for young horses held last week in Lanaken, the top 3 was almost entirely owned by Irish Sport Horse representants!
Commandant Geoff Curran aboard DHF Alliance (Douglas x Lux) took first place with an impressive time of 26,73 sec in the second phase. Another Irish couple made it to the podium, with a nice second place for CBI Karhari (Goodluck VDL x Kroongraaf) and Jonathan Gordon with a clear round in 27.55 seconds. Finally, 3rd place was claimed by the KWPN studbook with Koberlina TN and rider Erika Lickhammer-Van Helmond, only 0.20 seconds behind the second’s time. 14 impressive clear rounds out of 31 starts. Regarding team results, KWPN Studbook is in the lead with 313 points after this first qualifier. Irish Sport Horse is undoubtably second with 307 points and Selle Français Studbook claimed the third place.
