ABOUT LAST YEAR
Until then, let's go back in time and reminisce about last year's champions and their splendid victories.

Ladies first, with the elegant black DWB mare, LYNGBJERGS ST. PARIS (Blue Hors St. Schufro x Blue Hors Rockefeller), under the saddle of Victoria E. Vallentin. Third in the qualifying class with 88,20 points, the daughter of Blue Hors St. Schufro delivered an even better performance during the final, where she was awarded with a 9.5 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 9.3 for canter, 8.8 for rideability, 9.5 for capacity and an overall score of a stunning 9.12 points, awarding her the title of World Breeding Champion of the 5-year-old category.

GLOBAL PLAYER, 2016 Oldenburg stallion out of Grand Galaxy Win T and a dam by Blue Hors Don Schufro, has quite an impressive record already for his young age. He was the undisputed champion at the Oldenburg Stallion Licensing 2018 in Vechta. In 2020, he won the final round of the Bundeschampionate Qualifier with a 9.1 overall score and then went on to take second place in the Final with an overall score of 9.4. Together with rider Eva Möller – expert in training and showing young horses, the stallion won the 6-year-old final of last’ year’s World Breeding Dressage Championships with the best score of all overall categories: an impressive 9.76 points, with no score below 9.5 for each aspect graded and two 10 points grades for both submission and perspective! What a better way for his rider to end her competition career with such a brilliant victory?

And last but not least, KJENTO (Negro x Jazz), the KWPN black stallion together with the British Olympian rider Charlotte Fry struck again, as after being awarded Champion of the 6-year-old at the World Breeding Dressage Championships in 2021 in Verden, he won the 7-year-old final with an overall score of 85.79 in 2022! Once again with an impressive grade of more than 90% for his quality. His exceptional pedigree, attractive type, powerful gaits and exceptional rideability have caught the attention of breeders and trainers around the world and, at only 7-years-old, he has already quite a list of successes: Champion of the KWPN Stallion Test in 2018, Reserve Champion of the PAVO Cup Finals in 2019, 6-Year-Old Champion of the WBFSH Dressage championships in 2021 and yet another champion title at 7 year-old, no less!
Some of the 2022 contestants will undoubtedly be back for this new edition of the World Breeding Dressage Championships and might even defend their champion title during this incredible 4-days event. Do not miss the chance to attend the dressage event of the year.
See you in Ermelo!
